In my mind
I still live in Athens. I have not left my friends and the person I love. Never mind the fact that all of my possessions are weighing down the back of my little Honda (under the front seat are my graduation cords and tassel) or that I’ve traced the route from Athens to Los Angeles in my road atlas.
I don’t yet feel the change happening. I don’t feel myself opening to it.
I am looking forward to LA. Somewhere in me.
Tiana, the acceptance of the change will be steady and gradual. I found driving across the country to be a very therapeutic goodbye to one chapter and hello to the next. As the landscape changes, you will get closer to the idea that you are on to something new.
You are brave and wonderful and have an amazing adventure ahead. I will be here waiting for you with some sushi. Safest travels <3
